PALS ALERT: U.S. House Passes Act Increasing Funding for ALS Research; Senate Next

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 18, 2012 — The House of Representatives passed the FY 2013 Defense Appropriations Act and included $7.5 million for the ALS Research Program (ALSRP), a 17% increase.

This is an important victory, especially given the challenges with the national debt and deficit spending. The matter must now be considered by the United States Senate in their version of the bill.

IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED BY PALS:

This is ALS Awareness Month — there is no better time than RIGHT NOW to contact your senators and make them aware of just how much this research funding is needed!
